Fairy Creek

Canada's Largest Act Of Civil Disobedience

The Fairy Creek Blockade was the largest act of civil disobedience in our countries history... and we got pretty involved.

Don't believe that fluffy non-sense... good, keep reading because talk is cheap - it's called greenwashing and unlike many 'eco-friendly' brands.... we don't participate in greenwashing.

The truth is our CEO was one of the first people arrested at Fairy Creek.

Fairy Creek Pano

It started here.

A few folks gathered near Port Renfrew to create what would be later known as the Rainforest Flying Squad... Mitchell was not one of those people, nor was he associated with the Ancient Rainforest Alliance, or anyone else.

He was just the man who made this flyer (see below)

HQ April 2020

Mitchell and a few friend ventured to Fairy Creek for the weekend. Starting at HQ, they were asked to help at a distant camp... about here: 48°41'53.9"N 124°24'50.3"W

Mitchell wrote a song that would eventually be sung throughout the summer by protesters.

Caycuse Camp

Mitchell returns to Fairy Creek with another two close friends and film makers to produce a short documentary about the vast camps surrounding the Fairy Creek Watershed.

Arrested

No short film was produced. Instead Mitchell found himself on the frontlines only hours before the RCMP started enforcing the injunction, and was one of the first Canadians arrested during the Fairy Creek Blockade.

SUMMER 2020

Protesting Continues

Unable the return to the frontlines, Mitchell continued protesting to raise awareness and to inspire others to protect our planet.

After the Blockade

Film Production

Mitchell teamed up with Canadian film maker Mark Achbar & director Jen Muranetz to help produce an award winning feature length documentary about the historical forest blockade.

Current Status

The Fairy Creek Watershed is still standing.

Thanks to the efforts of thousands of Canadians, Fairy Creek is still standing. But the watershed is still not protected. The injunction renewal has been deferred twice since the Fairy Creek blockade protests stop logging in 2020; once in 2023, and again in 2025.
