Good dry shampoo!

I quite like this dry shampoo, it smells better than most store-brand dry shampoos, and it fulfills everything I was looking for. Dry shampoo with little to no waste! I always felt guilty throwing out an entire bottle of dry shampoo once it was done. On another note, it does take some getting used to. Do not use vertical motion when applying (like shaking a salt and pepper shaker). You'll want to do more side-to-side movements to avoid dumping a large amount on your head at once. It can be tricky to find what amounts work for you, but it works fantastic once you have figured it out! And like any dry shampoo, there will be build-up on the scalp, so make sure to scrub well when washing your hair. These refills are fantastic, though, and I do recommend you try this dry shampoo out!

Love the zero waste!

Love that this company truly lives their promise - zero waste! I bought the full dry shampoo container and instead of buying another container (even if it is biodegradable) when I’m out, I just need to buy the refill in a compostable bag. So glad I found this company!

Aerosol dry shampoo.

Dry shampoo in an aerosol can often contains alcohols that leave your hair dry, brittle, and prone to breakage.

Back in the day (ok, back in the 90’s, which really isn’t that long ago) aerosol cans contained chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs) which played a major role in the depletion of the Ozone layer. CFCs have now been banned in most countries, however, not in all.

Unfortunately, most aerosol cans (including the ones you use for dry shampoo) use volatile organic compounds (VOCs) to propel their product. Once in the air, VOCs contribute to ground-level Ozone levels, contributing to smog production.

  1. Gently tap/shake the bottom of the container to settle any loose powder.
  2. Unscrew the lid.
    3. *Be careful as you do this to prevent spilling the powder. It is best to open the container in a vertical position with the lid facing up.
  3. Shake dry shampoo onto fingers or directly onto hair.
  4. Brush through (if necessary) to spread powder.
  5. Tousle your hair to finish.
