Quantity: 5 or 10 Razor Blades

Plastic coated razor blades.

The average person uses approximately 24 disposable razors or razor cartridges a year, which cannot be recycled.

By switching to a safety razor you are no longer contributing to the billions of plastic razors that end up in the landfill each year.

Stainless Steel

*For first time use - Unscrew razor head from razor handle, place blade between two pieces of razor head (teeth away from the handle), then screw razor head to razor handle.

  1. Prep your skin with warm water.
  2. Lather up with your life UNpacked shave bar.
  3. Hold razor at about 30 degrees and let the weight of the razor do the work as you pull in short, straight strokes.
  4. *Go with the grain, don’t apply too much pressure, and go slow.
  5. Rinse the blade, and of course yourself!
  6. *If you feel the need to press your razor into your skin, it’s time for a new blade.
Razor blades are shipped in a biodegradable box. This packaging can be thrown into your recycle bin.

Typical Life Span: 5-10 shaves (per blade)*

If your city specifies that they collect scrap metal with their curbside recycling, you can toss your razor blades in there. Be sure to put them in an aluminum can or other small container so no one is injured.

Most city recycling programs, however, collect scrap metal separately.

Collect your blades in a blade bank made from an aluminum can or other small container. Be sure it is clearly labelled and keep it away from children and pets.

When the can is close to full, tape the opening to seal it and drop it off at your local scrap metal collection site for recycling.

*Life span will vary based on thickness of hair, storage conditions, etc.

Easy Waste Reduction

Work great! Have to change a little more often than my 5 blade plastic head but much closer shave and makes my green heart happy. Go slow and be careful the first few times.

Super sharp but worth the learning curve

I love my new razor and using these blades is super easy! The are extremely sharp and give me the best shave ever. They are individually wrapped and make changing the blade safe and easy! Using this type of razor for the first time will be a little painful if you aren't careful but its definitely worth it!

So worth it!

The number of blades they send you is enough to last a long time I feel like I’m getting my money’s worth 10x over :)

Worth the learning curve

It's time more people looked at single blades and got reacquainted. Many folks have never even used one, but that's no problem. It takes a bit of care and caution, but with only a wee bit of practice, they do every bit as good a job (maybe better) than the expensive multiple-blade non-recyclable shaving aberrations we are all familiar with. I'm pleased to find a local Canadian company that supplies good quality single blades. Good for whatever you're shaving, and good for the environment, too.

Hi Peter - thank you very much! It does take a little bit of practice indeed, but once you master it there's no coming back. Such a simple switch and we hope more people will do the same. Thanks again!!
